It does not straighten the hair, but smooths the frizz and loosens the texture. It can make some types of hair straight, but this is mostly a long-lasting health treatment that makes hair very manageable and shiny.

How the Keratin Treatment can smoothen hair by adding weight for straightening.
The global keratin treatment can make your hair manageable if it is thick or porous. During this straightening treatment, Juvinex Keratin (a protein blend from sheep's wool) is infused into the hair cuticle, giving each hair strand just enough weight to stop being frizzy, and calm down.
Not only does the hair stay smooth, but the GK treatment greatly decreases drying and styling time since water won't enter the hair cuticle as easily as it normally does. This is especially true for color processed, or older hair.

Over 5 months with proper maintenance, the keratin will gradually leave your hair until it returns to its normal state.

Hair straightening can be expected for some types of hair. This treatment smooths curls so that they are looser.

This smoothing treatment is not to be confused with the mineral removal treatments that remove weight from hair!
